How is anger management connected to domestic violence? Well, put simply, most people that abuse their partner in this kind of situation, are angry due to some anti-social disorder in their subconscious mind. Anger is one of the leading symptoms of personality disorder, including paranoia, schizophrenia, schizoid, antisocial, psychopathic, histrionic and sociopathic personalities.

Many people that are abusive in relationships have anti-social personalities. The anti-social personality type of person often attacks when he or she is drunk or under the influence of some drug or other. This is not true in all cases of course, but it is true in most circumstances. Anti-social personality types often disregard rules and regulations and usually feel that they have the right to do so. Anti-social personality types are controlling and if you do not allow their authority, they often vent their anger in a controlling or violent manner.

Anti-social types will often humiliate, intimidate, brutally physically abuse and mentally belittle their spouse, but the domestic abuse does not usually stop there. This type of individual has never proven to be likely to respond to anger management techniques. In other words, men that batter their wives will usually continue to do so until someone gets seriously injured. It is not a good idea to engage with this type of person, as there is rarely any hope at all of them controlling their anger. This type will often beat a spouse, until they only want to kill them. This means someone could die, since this sort of person will become angrier and angrier as the years pass and will rarely seek anger management help with their domestic violence.

Even if he or she does get anger management help for domestic violence, it very often fails. It is not recommended that you start a relationship with this type of person. The signs are a wild appearance or wild expressions, laughing for no apparent purpose, laughing at a situation where a person was harmed, outbursts of anger for no reason et cetera. This type of person is superficial and will often lead you to believe that he or she is a model for society, when behind closed doors the brute appears.

Of course, hate is the underlying source of this person’s rage, and hatred has been known to kill. Often deep-seated jealousy also underlies the anger issues within these types of people. Many of these angry people take drugs, including cocaine, crack, marijuana and others. They often exceed the safety limit of alcohol consumption and this only increases the chances of them flying off the handle.

One example of bad anger management and domestic violence can be seen in a small town called Dowagiac in Michigan. A man attempted to kill several women but was allowed to walk the streets. Little anger management help was provided to this person, and often his outrageous attacks were simply because he could not control the victims involved. The victims were left without justice, and a few even believed that he would change his angry ways.

Within a short time, he was sitting in the county jail on a string of charges, including assault of a police officer and hit and run. The police, according to witnesses, claim that the criminal had had a weapon and was drunk when he fled in order to elude arrest and marijuana was found in his vehicle. This person had a continuous history of brutality but the justice system let those victims down, which led to more anger management problems.

Another example of anger is in borderline personality types. These people when feeling alone will attack others. Sometimes they are physically abusive, while most of the time they are verbally and mentally abusive. All the spouse has to do is go to work and when he or she returns home, most likely she or he will be accused of something.

The abusive person might even call the workplace of the spouse numerous times to verify that he or she is not spending time with someone else. This is another type of angry person that seldom recovers, and like the anti-social personality types, these people are just as dangerous and manipulative.

Paranoid personality types are also dangerous and manipulative but their anger is almost impossible to predict. In most cases, these types react to voices perceived to be inside or outside their head. Like the antisocial types, the paranoid type does not usually has justifiable reason for their behaviour. Usually, it is merely a control issue. This means that if the victim is uncontrollable, the paranoid person will react angrily and violently.

December 17th, 2009Heart Tattoo Designs For Women

In the past five years or so heart tattoo designs seem to have become to most popular type of tattoo out there. One reason for its popularity is because you can personalize the design extremely easily and you can add a lot of meaning to it. In this report, I am going to be going to help you find the perfect heart design you are looking for by asking you five W’s. Who, What, When, Where, and Why

Who?

Before you get a tattoo, you need to know exactly who you are getting it for. By answering that question you will be able to give the tattoo much more meaning. Maybe the tattoo is just for yourself, maybe it is for your current love, or maybe it is for your ex love.

What?

What type of heart are you wanting to get? As weird as this may sound, there are plenty of different hearts out there. There are some that represent love by having cupid in them. Others have a knife going through it symbolizing a torn heart.

When?

Knowing dates is very important. Some people like to put the date of when they fell in love, when they got engaged, or when they got married. When was your marriage? What about engagement? This is one of the best ways to make your tattoo personal.

Where?

Where did you first fall in love? Where did you get married at? If you know the “where” with the situation, you can add a lot of cool and unique twists to the tattoo.

Why?

Out of all the questions, this is the most important one. Why do you want to get the tattoo? Do you just want to look cool or do you want there to actually be some meaning behind the tattoo? Choosing a heart tattoo design can be so simple if you know exactly why you want to get it.

If you look at each of those questions you will notice something they all had in common. All five of those questions each had a personal answer. You will have completely different answers than your neighborers. This proves it will be a unique and personal tattoo.

Heart Tattoo Designs are probably the most beautiful designs if you know how to do them. For more info on how to make these designs look amazing Click Here

Depression and anxiety are said to be the causes of uncontrolled anger. When a person is constantly worried about problems they have no control over or even problems they do have control over, it often causes depression. If you have the feeling, there is no way out then your depression can affect your life and cause you to drift down into a spiral of despair.

Taking charge of your emotions produces good results. If you feel that the world is crumbling down around you, then you are probably thinking negatively, which brings on depression and anxiety. In this short article, we will discuss some techniques to help you to cope with anxiety and depression, thus relieving uncontrollable anger.

First, let us take a look at the symptoms. Do you feel like you are going out of your mind? Do you shout in your head: ‘I cannot take it any more?’. Do you feel like someone is out to get you? Do you think people view you as a crazy person? If you are suffering any or all of these symptoms or thoughts then you are probably suffering from anxiety and depression.

If you can not find a way to think in a different way, then you will probably explode when your emotions start to soar and your anger bursts forth. Instead of telling yourself that you are out of your mind, why not tell yourself that you are temporarily emotionally disturbed and that you need to resolve the situation. Review all your problem areas carefully and search your memory to see if there are answers to your problems there. Reviewing like this, often opens doors to resources you may have overlooked.

If you feel like everyone is out to get you then you might have a chemical imbalance or a mental illness. Why not go to see your doctor or a mental health expert to learn more about your symptoms and find a way to gain control of your life. Anxiety and depression can play tricks with your mind but sometimes the thoughts are the result of a lack of chemical balance.

If you think that people consider you are going mad, you may want to remember that most people have their own problems and don’t have time to analyze you as a person. When you walk into a room and think that people are staring at you, you might want to remember that all people watch the things around them, checking to make sure that everything is all right around themselves before returning to their own little lives.

If you feel like you cannot take it any longer, pick up your torture stick and walk another mile. When times are difficult, it does not mean it is the end of the world, although sometimes it may seem this way. If you are struggling to pay bills, fighting to hold a family together, or having difficulty with your children then remember we all have these problems at some time in our lives.

Are your children driving you bonkers? If they are, take a break. Go do something entertaining or exercise. This often relieves the stress that leads to anxiety, depression and anger. Life is too short to worry about the things you do not have control over. If you have problems, the answers lie within you, so it pays to look into your mind.

If you are struggling to obtain your goals then you might want to break your goals down to smaller segments and work slowly to achieve them. If you set goals within reason, you will not need to stress your mind finding a way to achieve your target.

It is vital to treat yourself each day. Learn some relaxation responses that will benefit both your mind and your body. If you feel overwhelmed, you might want to breath in and out deeply 10 times.

Curling up on a couch and watching a favorite movie can benefit your mind and body, if you want to let your thoughts wander. Learn to focus on what you are doing instead of worrying about what you are not doing. This often clears the mind and helps you to relax.

If you are subject to unbridled anger, you will most likely have difficulties for the rest of your life unless you start to take control of your emotions. Remember that depression leads to uncontrollable anger.

November 17th, 2009Four Generations of Carpentry

My family has had carpenters in it for at least four generations and I can not go back any farther than that. My father’s father came from Anglesey, an island off north Wales called Ynys Mon in Welsh. I visited his place of birth once. We were directed by a local old-timer to a meadow, but we could not see a house or any ruins. I scrambled up unto a mound of earth to get a better view and then we realized that I was standing on his old home.

He had lived in a hole in the ground covered over with earth! A door was still on it, overgrown after 70 years or so of neglect and there was a kind of stone chimney in the long grass on the top. I was 10 years old and my Dad was 33 and it was the only time either of us went the length of Wales to look up our family history. It is more than probable that my great-grandfather was a shepherd.

My grandfather ran away from home at– years of age to Liverpool and became an apprentice ship’s carpenter. That would have been in’14. What a time to choose to go out into the big world – the start of the First World War in Europe. He could not speak English at the time, but must have taught himself as he learned his apprenticeship.

He passed out as the best in his year and was given a set of the finest woodworking tools of the age. Each tool had a small brass plate in the handle with his name etched into it. My father still treasured them when I was growing up.

I never met my granndfather; he died a month before I was born, but I was named after him and, knowing that I was due and that he was going, he left me a teething ring, which I still have. More to the point of this article though, there was not a single power tool in his tool bag when he died in’54.

My father was the youngest son and when he was old enough, he had to leave school to be apprentice to his father who had stopped his roaming by then. Growing up with my father in the’50′s and’60′s, I do not remember him using power tools either. He used a brace-and-bit for drilling, several assorted hand-sharpened saws for cutting and his only acquiescence to modern technology, a Yankee, which was a pump-action screwdriver. Everything he needed to hang a door or cut a roof was in one bag or later on a box, which he made himself.

I went away to study and travel and when I returned to stay 12 years later, my brother had finished his carpenter’s apprenticeship and was working with my Dad. That would have been in about’80 and my brother still swears to ths day that Dad only bought power tools then because he, my brother, had learned how use them in technical college. Something which my father always denied, although it did seem a bit of a coincidence to me. My brother, now in his Fifties, still uses hand tools where he can, but also has the full range of power tools in a near-by van.

His son, now nearly 30 is also a carpenter and he has a power tool for every job and throw-away saws. How times have changed.

The debate on gay marriages has been a very hot political subject for many years and because it is such a hot topic, the number of places that have come out publicly either for or against the topic is not surprising. While there are few states which allow gay or same-sex marriage, there are some that are more liberal, affording almost equal rights. Massachusetts is currently the only state in the United States that allows same-sex marriages. The state of Rhode Island is generous enough to recognize as a legal marriage any same-sex marriage that was carried out in Massachusetts, which is considered a major victory by many same-sex supporters.

Elections of recent years have seen this as a very hot subject and with the White House stating publicly that marriage can only involve a man and a woman, not same-sexes, many states have been very reluctant to sanction same-sex marriages. However, a few states have permitted same-sex civil unions, which is very similar to marriage.

Those states are, in alphabetical order: California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maine, New Jersey, and Vermont. The District of Columbia also recognizes same-sex unions and the Governor of New Hampshire has promised publicly that he will soon pass a bill permitting same-sex unions. This is a major victory for the supporters of the movement.

While many states have not given the go-ahead to the same-sex issue, there are states which are sitting around discussing the topic. Many couples who are fighting for their rights have argued that there is absolutely no difference in the way they run their households compared with their heterosexual counterparts. They have also stated that while they may be with a partner who is the same sex as them, they do still love their partner and should have the legal right to get married too.

This has always been a contentious topic, and probably will continue to be a contentious topic for several years to come. While the issues rage within the states and at the national level, it will probably be quite a long time before the gay and lesbian rights groups can truly declare a victory for their cause. Nevertheless, there is some solace to be taken in the small victories as they occur, and another Governor of a state being ready to permit a civil union is at least a step in the direction towards triumph.

However, the fact remains that the views of the individual states tend to reflect the views of the President. With a President in office who is a staunch opponent of same-sex marriage as well as civil union, it is unlikely to allow much room for many triumphs until a more accommodating, or rather liberal, President is in the White House. Time will tell what President Obama’s views are.

After the bill has passed through all the channels of state, it will go into effect as early as the next year for the New Hampshire residents, who have been waiting patiently. Each state that gives this right to its residents opens the door to more states to become more tolerant. Finally, this paves the way for America to join the bulk of Europe in sanctioning the legal inequalities of straight and gay couples nationwide.

In the Twelfth Century, William de Barri owned Barry Castle, but it was attacked and destroyed by Llewellyn Bren in 1316. It is said that the Cavaliers rebuilt it, but that it was subsequently destroyed again by the Roundheads, never to be rebuilt.

The Norman invaders were thoroughly detested by the local people and they had to build large mansions to defend themselves from frequent assaults on them by the people of the valleys and the mountains. During the reign of Henry III, there were 12 castles within six miles of Barry. In Glamorgan, there were 30 castles and in South Wales as a whole there were 150 !

Porthkerry and the church lying to its west is said to have taken its name from Ceri, who is said to have founded a port, ie ‘Port Ceri’. People say that Ceri ap Caid, the King of Essyllwg, resided in Porthkerry before the Christian era and that his bard, Corvinor, was the first to have built a ship with sails and a rudder for the race of Cymru. Some believe that Ceri was a nephew or grandson of Caractacus (Caradog) and that he assumed the leadership of the government in South Wales when Caractacus was sent to Rome.

John Wesley later preached from the Porthkerry Church pulpit, and sometimes outside, in 1741, 1742 and 1743. There are two very old churches still in use today St. Cadocs Church in Cadoxton and Merthyr Dyfan Church in Merthyr Dyfan. 150 years ago, Cadoxton was the largest village in the area: eg in 1844 the Parliamentary register contained 25 names: 20 from Cadoxton and five from Barry. The church was dedicated to St. Cadoc, who used to spend Lent on Flat Holm and Barry Island. The village took its name from the church, which was founded in 800 AD.

Merthyr Dyfan Church was founded in 600 AD and the name means Dyfan The Martyr. There were two saints of this name: one came to Barry to Christianize the inhabitants; the second lived in the 6th. Century and was the son of a Welsh chieftain. His sister was also martyred, giving her name to the town of Merthyr Tydfil.

The Christian faith grew exponentially in the Vale of Glamorgan and in the middle of the 2nd. Century, Llewrwg, Prince of Siluria, became the first king, anywhere in the world of all time, to be baptized into the Christian faith. He sent to Rome for more Chritian teachers and was sent Dyfan and Fagan. The former was martyred near the site of the church and the latter was canonized. St. Fagan’s just outside Cardiff was named after him.

November 7th, 2009About Power Screwdrivers

Have you ever had to deal with a stubborn screw that just would not go into the material as easily as you wanted? How about one that would not come out for you either? This is annoying as well as time wasting. Electric screwdrivers are a great resolution for these problems. They are very effective and inexpensive.

In line power screwdrivers are intended for fundamental household projects. They are not very powerful, but more than adequate to get the task finished. For heavy duty work, think about using a drywall screwdriver. Some models offer a range of speeds. There are a number of models to select from. Some are very similar in design to a basic screwdriver. Other are shaped like the number seven, with a handle for you to channel the screws in. Others come with a handle that swings to help you to get into just about any angle you can come across.

Choose a electric screwdriver that fits well in your hand. Some of the handles are rough and others have a soft, foam grip on them. Hold the electric screwdriver in your hand and see how it feels after a few minutes. If you will be using it for lengths of time then comfort is very important. You don’t want to finish up with sore hands or blisters.

Different power screwdrivers have varying amounts of torque power and speeds. You will need to compare this information before deciding on the electric screwdriver you wish to buy. Take some time to review what each power screwdriver is suggested for. Compare that with the work you are likely to take on with the electric screwdriver.

It is a good idea to maintain your power screwdriver fully charged. This will give you the best possible results from it. If the battery doesn’t hold a charge for very long, you will to swap the battery. Some people choose to buy a second battery from the start so that they can have one charging and one in the power screwdriver. This is highly recommended if you are going to be using the power screwdriver on a regular basis.

For those of you who intend to use your electric screwdriver often, think about buying a power screwdriver kit. It comes with a sturdy carrying case. Inside you will find the power screwdriver and a slot for each accessory. You will normally get many sizes of bits to use. It will also include a power cord. Some of the electric screwdriver kits also include an extra battery as well as a charger that plugs into your cigarette lighter. You can get a power screwdriver kit at a much better price than having to buy accessories separately.

Very few accidents truly result from using a electric screwdriver, but they can. When using a power screwdriver, remember the driving force behind it. Both of your hands should be away from the area that turns. The turning blade can slice your hand if you aren’t careful. It is a good idea to use eye protection as well.

Electric screwdrivers will drive through almost everything. It is very important that you make sure there are no power cords or wires behind the spot where you are working. Keep your hair back from your face as well. Leaning forward to establish your progress can result in loose hair getting caught and twisted on the blade.

November 2nd, 2009Anger Management Skills

Many professionals, so-called experts, philosophers and the rest, inform us about anger and anger management skills, but do they give you the full story? There are people all over the world with anger issues, some mild, some extreme and some which are within the normal boundaries of the emotion of anger.

We hear about all the symptoms of anger, which include kicking, fighting, slapping, verbally abusing, mentally abusing, and so on. We hear reports from around the world about the many episodes related to violence in the criminal world. Finally, we hear many reports about how to deal with anger using anger management skills.

However, anger is an emotion that acts on impulses. Anger is good, until it becomes uncontrollable. This happens when a person feels discontented and acts on the impulses of his or her emotions radically. However, there are some people who get angry as a direct result of putting things off.

You can see it in an example with a person that gets angry with a cable company. Let’s say that this person has been dealing for more than three months with issues involving a cable company, herself and a third party. This person was paying a bill which included channels ordered by someone else, but the company refused to give her the selection of channels that she had ordered in her own right.

She goes through a series of processes, and finally, after she had done as instructed, the company told her that she would have to pay for what had already passed. So, she would have to pay for all the channels on the bill, only some of which she had ordered. Now, she was in no position to do much about it since she did not live at that address. Finally, she blew her top and told the company off, walking quickly out the front door, mumbling you stupid bloody idiots.

This person was pushed to anger and this happens too many times in society these days, yet the world only sees the angry persons. We can look at other theories about anger and anger management skills, and see that the blanks are not filled in. When a person has an anger issue, he or she does not necessarily have that problem everyday. Rather, in most cases the person builds up to the point of going out of control.

Often a person will go for a week, month, or even longer before they break out in anger. If this person has a mental illness, alcohol or drug problems, it contributes to the anger issues, however in many cases the person does not get too angry every day.

So, we can see that not only do we need to teach anger management skills to contain anger; we also must teach people to approach each problem as it occurs. Procrastination comes in many forms and it includes putting off emotional issues until they are too hot to handle. Many violent people often have a dangerous mental illness underlying their anger. Many people that are angry because of procrastination have a degree of control, and it usually does not lead to anger.

However if someone is pushed hard enough this may occur. Anger is involved with the process of expressing emotions, however when a person is angry they may have difficulty relating to the underlying reason for the anger, which means that they have poor anger management skills.

October 14th, 2009Anger Management Technique

Dealing with anger is never easy, since people always have to face problems and reasons for conflict but our anger management technique is crucial. We have to deal with price increases, arguments, war, violence, crime, everyday common stupidity and continuous interruptions. There is not one person in this sometimes difficult world that has not gotten mad at some point.

Anger is a feeling that we all have to cope with. But anger comes in many forms: the root of anger is hatred, anxiety or frustration as a result of previous deception or disappointment. It is a result of anger management technique. This is true. However, true or not, even in the Bible it says that when Adam and Eve were created on Earth, the first incident was when Satan, in the form of a serpent, lied, deceiving Eve. Once that lie became apparent, the world started experiencing many more problems, including violence, murder, war, shortages, disease, weather disasters and et cetera.

Since that first lie, the world has become more chaotic and continues to worsen as the years roll by. We can examine how a lie can instigate anger by looking at one individual scenario. That person engaged in criminal activities, like stealing, writing bad checks, and selling prescription medications. Now that person had to embroider lying into the picture, since she felt that her behaviour and actions were only a means of survival.

So, she started lying to cover up her crimes. As the years went by, that person became angry and could not cope, solely as a result of the way she was behaving, her way of thinking, her poor anger management technique, the way she was living her life. That person began acting as anyone suffering from uncontrolled anger would act.

This included, putting others down, insulting others, verbally and physically assaulting, threatening, belittling and mocking others. The woman was diagnosed with a mental disorder, Post traumatic Stress Disorder and Bipolar. She also had health issues, including diabetes. Now if we look at all the aspects of that person’s anger and her anger management technique, we can see, if we search deep enough, that her lying, which caused paranoia, was the root cause of her behavioral problems.

These days, so many people have a problem with their anger management technique. Many of the people with post-traumatic stress disorder behave in an angry way because they are reacting to a flashback in memory. Yes! People with post traumatic stress disorder often suppress their negative emotions and when they get in a violent situation or are angered, it is often the result of fighting the sources that caused their trauma in the first place and not the person in their presence.

But, we do not see this as the cause for the woman’s fury, since she did not make the problem public knowledge. Therefore, people would exclude post traumatic stress disorder as the cause, or at least reduce the possibility of it. So, now let’s take a look at diabetes, since this illness affects the nerves. The shortage of insulin creates other problems too, but many people with diabetes will become upset for practically no reason at all.

However, most people do not act angrily, assault, insult or attack others . If we look at the reason crimes are committed, we see that very often, serious behavioural problems come from lying. Therefore, when we look at this woman’s case again, we can see that we have to deal with the underlying problems ie to stop her from lying and get her to move forward, avoiding bouts of frustration, anxiety and anger by employing an anger management technique.

However, this person is in denial, which means that until the legal system forces her to study anger management technique, she probably will not get help herself. Furthermore, even if the criminal justice system does insist she gets help, it probably won’t work, because her denial has existed for probably many years. So, now we are dealing with a real problem in anger management technique , since her behaviour is life long, which means extensive therapy isneeded.

Anger is a normal emotion, but when it interferes with someone else’s life, it becomes a serious problem. This person is not hurting only one person, she is hurting society as a whole, since when she steals or writes bad cheques, society pays through higher taxes, as well as other levies. One of the worst problems that I have noticed with this type of person, is that the system and society allows it to continue; only addressing it when the person is in custody. Once the person is released, then it continues again. This is a sequence of events involving lack of control due to anger mis-management and bad anger management technique.
